A wave of Make in India 2.0 !
The COVID-19 has created a truly unprecedented situation which affects us all. My heart goes out to everyone who’s been impacted by the pandemic. The impacts have unsettled economic and social stability across the globe and consequences of the pandemic on our lives and societies are known. We’re called upon to be our best selves with patience, understanding and compassion and despite the many difficulties we all face, moments like this, reminds us that we’re all connected.
India ranks third among countries inching towards 800k coronavirus cases as of now and nearly adding 25,000 cases each day. While we are combating the crisis, the unlock phase has turned out to be an excellent opportunity for India to induce fresh energy into the ambitious ‘self-reliance’. There has been an uproar and vocal call for indigenous production and consumption. Government of India has rightly focused on creating a favourable ecosystem evolving a paradigm shift towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan’ and timely stimulated socio-economic stimulus for sectors like MSME, agriculture, tax reforms and so on. The prospects of structural transformation will embark the countrytowards significant milestones but also fulfill our priorities such asNew India @75 and realization of SDGs 2030. This is a path towards self-recovery and foster paradigm shift towards greater resilience while ensuring sustainable lives & livelihoods and reduced environmental impacts.
Our road to recover from COVID-19 is ahead. Are we ready to change towards ‘Atma-Nirbharta’and create an identity of “New India” by Building Back Better?
